GrowLah!
In Collaboration with Aman Garg and Tata Consulting Services
Growlah is a service that empowers the elderly by providing them jobs and the opportunity to make an impact on the community. We do this by creating a platform for the sale of gardening and farming services and products to households, community centers or corporates with landscape looking for greater greenery. These customers can download the app and select services or buy products such as monthly farming or hydroponic systems. This not only exemplifies the value of our seniors in our community, but provides them with an income and a sense of satisfaction during the day. Those using our platform would be more inclined to ours over more commercial competitors due to the more intimate relationship with the elderly, and the feeling that they are helping rather than just consuming.
We got in touch with an elderly care and wellness center, Home Nursing Foundation (HNF), to install hydroponic systems at their newly launched Buangkok location. With this new installation, their seniors can learn to grow using hydroponics and will provide them with a new, rewarding activity. We built the system in a week in time for their launch, which was filmed (Coming soon!).
In collaboration with the director of science center, Dr. Khiruthika, and her team to teach students to build growlah and extend the project. This will form part of their mentorship program to be held in Dec 2021.
In collaboration with the Science Center and TCS, we are installing a hydroponic system at the Science center to form part of their new sustainability exhibit. The interactive and live hydroponic system will grow produce and our web dahsboard will allow users to view the live data and watch the dashboard react.
We created a new web dashbaord for corporates and schools to be able to efficiently and remotely view the data from their hydroponic system. Users can see live updates via graphs and toggle between seeing 3 hour short term or 24 hour long term data.

Our Logo
GrowLah! allows users to directly order hydroponic systems from the app alongside seeds and nutrients. These Hydroponic systems contain sensors that are connected to the MyGarden page through an ESP32 microchip and Firebase.
My Garden allows users to monitor their systems by connecting to the IOT sensors in their systems. This allows them to track metrics like nutrient levels, light levels and PH levels to make adjustments for the best possible plant growth. If an issue is detected, the app will notify the user who can then make changes like adding water, or request the support of our lovely senior staff.
Scan and Spot allows users to scan any flower or plant and recognize the species and further information about the plant. Through this, they can not only identify and grow plants they find, but also receive quantitative data about it's growing conditions and if it is suitable for their garden. If the plant or flower is available in our store, it will be available to buy directly from that screen.
News and Video Guides allow users to explore the world of Hydroponics and Sustainable living. They can learn how to set up their own systems, better manage their existing systems, and improve their own knowledge of sustainable living.
GrowLah! allows users to scan their area to determine what hydroponic systems are best for their size, lighting and environment. They are then offered recommended systems from a range of Hydroponic techniques which then allows them to make a custom order. They can add additional IOT sensors, produce and modules to make the perfect system for their needs.
